On a beautiful Friday afternoon, 6 of us met at Grouse Mountain to conquer the 2.9 km climb up the mountain. Some of us were a little late because the bus ride took a little longer than expected. But once we arrived and met up with the others, we wasted no time in starting off our climb although some of us were already feeling sad to start! Haha.
It quickly started to get pretty tiring and we were just looking out for the 4 quarter marks that were positioned at every quarter of the climb. It was sooooo exhausting and we took our time with finishing the hike (taking many breaks along the way, encouraging each other along the way).

When we saw the final few steps in sight, we all got soooo happy and excited to finish the hike and get our food! We all felt an amazing sense of accomplishment when we had climbed all 2,830 of the steps successfully and in a good time of 2 hours too!
The view from the top of the mountain was simply breathtaking and indescribable so for those of you who didn’t come, be sure to come to next year’s Grouse Grind! We had lunch at the restaurant and got so excited snapping pictures of the gorgeous view (and ourselves) haha. After that, we walked around for a bit and took some more pictures. At 3:30pm, we took the gondola down (Hsin’s favourite! Hahaha).
To those who came, thanks so much for coming out and we hope that you guys had as much fun as we did!! Although hiking up Grouse was certainly challenging and exhausting, it was such an enriching and amazing experience at the same time. We are so proud of ourselves!
Till next time :D
