Unlike the usual gatherings that we hold at SFU Burnaby Campus, we decided to do something new and hold it downtown. The summer time brings new weather and new horizons - as well as new members!

Smiling faces! (L-R) Keiko, Mana, Fatimah, Donna, Milton, Naoko & Mel

This semester we served:
Hainanese Chicken Rice
Fried Beehoon
Vegetable Curry
Beef Rendang
Gado-Gado
Ais Bandung
*Beef Rendang & Gado-gado from Seri Malaysia
*The rest by Ruth Teo
*Ais Bandung by Jeff Lim

(L-R) Leanne, Eudora, Melanie, Jaslin, Cogi

Nothing completes an icebreaker except games. We played "The wind blows on..." which let many people run for their lives for fear of getting caught in the middle 3 times. Punishment? To sing their national anthem.

We got to know alot more people and find out similiarties and differences. For example, out of the 35 people that were there, only Eudora had a dog!

The second game consisted of silence. The group was split into two and they had to arrange themselves according to birthday, without saying a word.

Cheers from the winning team!

Lastly, was our raffle draws (frisbee, movie tickets, clubbing tickets, photo albums, candy) and a bittersweet farewell to our secretary, Dickson Tan, who has left us to serve his country.

Future soldier of Singapore: Dickson Tan.

Eugene winning his frisbee! The clubbing ticket went to Alicia Chan and the 2 movie tickets to Mel Chua.

We were overjoyed to see all our old members there and new smiling faces as well! Thank you all for coming and hope to see you at our next events. This summer promises to be an exciting one :)
Love, the MSSC team
